Now a full-blown political war has begun in Rajasthan between the ruling Congress and opposition BJP on the lines of Madhya Pradesh. Rajasthan Congress has moved its MLAs to a resort in Jaipur fearing poaching attempts while Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has claimed BJP is offering Rs 25 crore to Congress MLAs, asking them to switch sides.
A few months ago, former Congress veteran, Jyotiraditya Scindia changed sides and joined BJP along with a bunch of Madhya Pradesh MLAs, toppling the Congress government helmed by Kamal Nath. Now, Ashok Gehlot is fearing a similar fate in Rajasthan.
